Inside a TV Studio
On Friday, December 13th, 2019 the 4C took a tour of the ORF Zentrum in Küniglberg.
After learning about Austria’s national broadcasting company, TV sets, lights, sound, and cameras, we got to experience the magic of television in a blue-screen studio.
One group of students saw how blue-screen technology creates the maps that weather forecasters appear in front of at the end of the nightly newscast.
Other students took part in a more imaginative use of blue screens, experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cuddle up with a mama orangutan.
And still others got to go on a magic carpet ride over distant mountain landscapes.
We learned a lot about how television studios work, and we had a great time doing it!
